Anthems, anecdotes, and undeniable truths.

Share.

One particular quote that tickled me: "Slam down, House of Capricorn."

I thought that was going to be funny during the day. Having done it now, it's fucking embarrassing.

Unbelievably killer night!! All the bands fucking ripped it up, Cobra Khan were a ridiculously loud & heavy end to the night.

Chur to Ami, Mike & anyone else who played a part in organising this wicked event. Went up in the van with LOR, Osmium & MIC. Apparently a load of police were scoping out our van and trailer for ages, don't know what the fuck that was about! Neutral

Rad night. All of the bands were outstanding. I'd do a full write up on each one but I am still haggard as all bloody hell.

Highlights that I can recall: the once in a life time performance of 'Stone Bullet', being called "Thee" by one of the Timaru crew, Spud's hat, warning my friend about the hot sauce then watching him get owned by it and opening the doors using the force every time I walked through them. Party on, Wayne.

Rocket fuel is a stupid idea..
Until next time. Rolling Eyes

That was mean Very Happy

Yeah Killer night all around! All the bands were off the chain, good BBQ action, good drank action.

Venue staff were really hard to deal with, the bar manager even went up during Cobra Khan's set with a hand made sign that said TURN IT DOWN, but its all pretty funny to think about.

Good to see a decent turnout in CHCH, taking into account the recent climate with local gigs, and the place being out in the wopps really! I was pretty scared about it being a small one, but the usual keen as fuck SF crowd showed up and made it great.

Personal hilght for me was LoR opening their set with Hitchy. Fuck they rule.

Thanks again to all the bands!

Good times, good cunts and good bands! All the hall marks of the Eyes Of The South Experience, and once again we were not disappointed!, Actually got to be purely a spectator for the first time, and apart from occasionally feeling useless, its was great to get maggot and just enjoy the night! All bands were great, good to see every year the repeat offenders stepping it up yet again! Nice to see the Christchurch scene has not completely died, and indeed, appears well and strong! once again I wish every weekend could be that good. Go the Doom Rock Pioneer!!!!!!

^Haha!!! I would expect nothing less than top form. Rocket fuel - Nosferatu's only weakness.

Another amazing EotS, cant believe its already been five years running, Big ups to Ami and everyone else who's put in the hard yards over the years, had an absolute blast!

Love the fact that you can let ya hair out n have a blast in the company of so many friendly people with no hassles ( cept mayb the super dyke security sluz ) But once again all killer tunes, nearly pitched a tent when I realised I was listening to a song about BYC, Big ups LoR!!

The nights a bit hazey due to desires to acquire heightened consciousness, but highlight has to have been all the funny looks I was getting wearing that Stitch hat at the front, absolute magic!

All done for another year, roll on 2012 Twisted Evil
