Wow, only just checked these guys out after finally bothering to investigate these Auck/Chch gigs everyone on the forum is going to see (don't usually bother with anything north of Dunedin)...and man do I wish I'd done it sooner. A band with the balls to break the mould; write songs that accomodate the lead guitarist to play at more than 2 notes per minute for wee bit of shreddy, and a guitarist who can make fuckin good use of that to boot.
Awesome stuff, I love. (And yes, I know I'm behind on this, but I'm mainly here for the 'doom' part of 'stoner doom' so don't fault myself too much)
P.S. Pod People are epic as well, but I was already familiar with them because they're a subgenre (or two) more up my alley _________________ 666 heilz Saturn.

Why the FUCK have I not seen these guys earlier? Admittedly they haven't played in Melbourne for a long time but I FINALLY saw them at the Doomsday Festival last weekend, FUCKING AWESOME!!! Best band there!!! Can't wait for them to release more music, the 2 EPs just aren't enough!!! _________________ Infernal Noize Radio

they were the surprise highlight for me at Doomsday in Brisbinn the other week, Clagg werent as good as last time, I was too wasted by the time Acid King came on and Summonus and something about a setting sun were both fairly ordinary and unimpressive but Looking Glass, holy fuck, I have to see them again soon, awesome awesome band!!!!!!! _________________ Swim inside the solar seas

Man, after having been lucky enough to have played a couple of shows with them, I've had a raging hard-on for them ever since hahaha. One of the best bands I've EVER seen. Unstoppable like someone mentioned above. I come from a town where alotta bands pride themselves on the amount of noise they make and they don't even come close to the power of Looking Glass, no way. That shit is real. I still religiously listen to both their eps too. 'Electron Flood' FTW. |
