I saw Portal in Canberra at Metal for the Brain 2005 (Along with Gospel of the Horns, Astriaal, Pod People all for the first time)..

Keen to see them now....with "The Curator' (Heh). Ulcerate are playing with them in Aussie next Feb so might go and check it out..

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is
I've seen them live but was disappointed, and found most of their antics (such as clockheads) laughable most of the time

Having said that I'll definitely see them again, I'm sure I could get more out of it if I was in the mood.

Have managed to get my hands on Swarth and Outre, and copied Seepia from my mate (will buy, just need to find it) - every listen kind of clarifies their seething mass. So strange and good
